Dear MS Families,
We are now solidly into Quarter 4. Progress Reports were sent digitally last Friday. Encourage your son to take advantage of Academic Intervention time with teachers after school until 4pm.
Our MS homerooms have been competing in a Weekly Quiz Bowl that Mr. Vinall has organized. There are weekly winners and term winners who pass on trophies as the results shift. This activity has increased awareness of current events and world knowledge as well as collaboration between our students.
Some reminders for the next couple of weeks:
- Grade 8 Tama River Clean Up on Friday, April 19th.
- MS Assembly, Monday, April 22nd, hosted by Grade 6.
- Spring Choral Concert, Friday, April 26th.
- Grade 8 Semi-formal dance at International School of the Sacred Heart on Saturday, April 27th. Sign up closes on Thursday, April 17th. The form was sent to Grade 8 parents only.
- Spring MAP testing is scheduled for May 7-9.
- No school on May 2nd or 3rd.
Carnival preparations have been ramping up as we enter the final weeks prior to the festivities on Saturday, May 11th. We need all families to participate! MS will host grade level game booths and students will likely be involved in other booth responsibilities and many enjoy contributing to the entertainment on stage. The Used Book Booth is looking for donations. See the flyer below for details. All students are expected to engage in raffle ticket sales. This is part of the fun and effort to make Carnival a success.
